2 New Tools - korabo & chordtone
Although I have not posted in a while, I have still been busy creating new things. Other than recording shrinkin-minkin’s first album and learning electrical engineering, I have created 2 new tools that I would like to share.
Chordtone
This web app allows you to select multiple chords and map the chord tones on a fretboard. Beneficial for improvising or writing melodies; chordtone assigns each chord a color and making it easy for you to follow along with the chord changes of any song.
Check it out here: chordtone.domdit.com
Future Updates:
- Select Your Own Colors
- Fix the fret dots so they are more visible
- Add up to 24 frets
- Add option to choose your which frets you want to see
- Improve the overall look of the app
Korabo
It has been so difficult to get my band members to efficiently schedule time for band practice. We are all busy adult men with wives, girlfriends, jobs, (some with children), and SMS is not the best way to determine availability.
Korabo provides a platform for a user to:
- create an “event” (in my case, band practice)
- set the time frame in which that event may occur (1 week, 1 month, etc)
- choose the amount of participants that may attend the event
- allow participants to select their availability on each day throughout the event time frame (currently a day is broken up into three parts [morning, afternoon, and night])
- allow participants to see each other’s availability
- automatically calculate the best days for the event to occur.
While this app is not open to the public like chordtone is, you can host it yourself! here is the repo: https://git.domdit.com/korabo/
