How To Remove Ads From Youtube on All Devices

I am sick of my friends and family trying to show me a video on their phone, computer or TV and forcing me to watch an advertisement on YouTube. I am also annoyed that my band’s album (which is coming out June 13th) has ads on it when listened to on YouTube. I am not even getting any of that revenue, so there is no reason for people to be watching it with ads. G**ogle already makes enough money by stealing all of your personal data, tracking every location you have ever visited (download your GPS metadata via google takeout to see what I mean), and I am sure via other nefarious means as well. The only G**gle product I use is YouTube and an old gmail account that is strictly spam at this point.

How To Remove YouTube Ads on Your Computer

There are a few ways to do this:

Option A: Install the Brave Browser . Watch YouTube through that. Ads are blocked automatically. Make sure you keep updating it when new versions come out as that ensures you will have the latest method for blocking ads.

Option B: Watch YouTube through an Invidious instance like on nadeko. This would be the next level of separation from YouTube as you are watching videos without actually interfacing with the YouTube front end, stopping G**gle from tracking you at all.

Option C: For pro users - download YouTube videos and watch them directly on your local machine with yt-dlp. I will backup YouTube videos that I really like with this. I will also rip audio from youtube with yt-dlp for getting drum samples for recording demos.

This will require a paradigm shift for most users. You are going to STOP opening the YouTube app and instead open the Brave Browser, type in YouTube, then watch videos in the browser. All of your ads are gone, the viewing experience is the same.

If you have an old laptop, plug it into the TV, install the brave browser, and watch YouTube. If you do not have an old laptop, buy a raspberry pi, install the basic raspbian operating system on it, plug it into your computer, install the brave browser, and watch youtube.

You have already checked out at this point because you need some lame app or a fire stick to watch netflix, hulu, disney+, etc. Why are you paying for media that you do not own? Read the terms and conditions that you sign up for when subscribing to these services and you will find that you are more than justified to pirate these shows and just watch them. Now you own the shows and movies that you like and can watch them without ads or even an internet connection! Crazy Right????

And if you want to support the movies, shows, and music you like; you should buy the physical copy. Why are you paying for things that can just be taken away from you at any moment? Netflix can just decide they are going to stop offering a show that you like. Take control of the media that you enjoy and stop giving your money away. And if the things you want to watch require you to subscribe to a huge corporation, maybe you should not be watching those things.

If you are reading this and worried about viruses magically showing up on your computer, just dont download or install anything from these sites. Make sure you have an ad blocker or a privacy browser like Brave installed before going to these sites. I use them all the time without issue.

I have never used a streaming service, I never will. I have not watched a video with ads EVER. I have always used ad blockers since they came out. Why are you living like this? Break free from the monthly payments and subliminal brain washing by ads. You spend your whole life on the computer, learn to use it properly and your quality of life will go up.
